Sunday evening we had yet another fun visitor!  This little guy was really small, as you can see below.  He was just a touch bigger than the kids hands.  As I was getting into the truck to run a quick errand I heard something in the grass, Felicity was walking next to me, I quickly lifted her up into my arms, not knowing what was down there.  We had a 4-5ft long snake in that grass on Mother's Day so I am a little leery about the unknown.  Much to my surprise it was a cute little turtle! Miss Felicity and I excitedly ran inside to show him off to Asa, Hannah and Kylie Joy!  Oh the Excitement at our place on this day!

Poor little guy, he doesn't know what has ahold of him!
Picture
Hannah wants a pet so terribly bad, every time we catch something she wants to keep it! Someday sweet girl, right now is just not the right time!

We played with, and watched our turtle friend for a few hours then, once again, it was time to say "goodbye."  It''s always so hard to do!
Picture
As he slowly got the courage to peek out of his shell and crawl away, Felicity went after him.  She was not ready to say goodbye just yet.  Asa tried to stop her, she started wailing!  I told her to go get the bucket and we could keep him for a little while longer.  With tears still on her little face she smiled and ran after her bucket.

I LoVe the smile on her face in this pic as she found him again!

~sweetness~   ... you'll have to excuse her nakedness, once again, this is her favorite outfit, she wears it often! ;)
Picture
~if you look close enough you can see a little tear under her eye~

After some time went by, Miss Felicity went in for a bath, and Asa let our little friend go free!  Thanks for stopping by to visit sweet friend!

I love the way you let your children be children.. give them structure and boundary but also give them room to grow and explore... this is my first time reading your blog, and I'm learning already :) xoxo my sweet friend~
