It's time for Monday Makeovers!!! Remember, a few Fridays back, I had found $2.50 fleece blankets and matched them up with thrifted top sheets! I have several sewn together! Two of them have already been gifted out!! You guys!!! These are awesome gifts this time of year, and well treasured gifts!!! Homemade is BEST!!! Am I right?!
I'm just in LoVe with how these turned out!

This skirt! Okay, so I really didn't like it long (to my ankles). My intentions were to cut it off at the top and put a waistband in it for Hannah. However, after cutting the top portion off, and adding a small strip of lace here and there, I decided I liked it. It hits below my knees and looks great with boots and a denim jacket! It's fall-ish, and I can't wait to have somewhere to go to wear it!
Anyhow, I hope you all have a very LoVeLy week! I here we may see our first snow flurries in a few days! That means fuzzy socks, a cup of cocoa and cozy blankets may be needed!
Happy Fall Y'all!
This just might be one of my favorite projects ever!! It turned out so perfect!! She is waiting until in the morning to decorate her shelves. We got the last (5th) coat of pain on around 7:30pm tonight. We want the paint to dry a bit more before it gets all filled up with her favorite things. A few things I learned from this 'makeover': #1. Do not buy paint at Walmart unless you want to paint and paint and paint. Number 2. If you are going to paint a piece of furniture and there are cracks in between the pieces of wood, caulk them in. (wish I would have done that) Numero Tres. If your girl wants a shelf, get her one, 'cause your gonna love it as much as she does!!
Hope your having a LoVely Week!
If you have followed my blog long, I am sure you are not surprised I turned our hideous Friday Find into a skirt for the girls! We added some super cute contrasting pockets on the sides to make it a bit more girly! My sweet Hannah has not been feeling well, thus no cute little face in this photo, I promised her I would just take a photo of the skirt this time.
Hope you all are having a great week! Check back in with us soon!!
This has been a project going on for several months. As I got a chance I peeled the paper from our bedroom wall. I've been so tired of staring at ugly gluey walls! I tried several things I found on pinterest for removing this stuff and the best I found was just a water bottle and a putty knife. Spray it down and let it set for 2 or 3 minutes, then remove the top layer and repeat removing the second layer! Really not too hard, just time consuming. And I am happy to say it is all gone!!!!! (happy face here) Below is our room, wall paper removed and a bit drab! But, Guess What!?!? I talked my sweet hubs into getting paint!!! And it is so refreshing now! I am in LoVe with our super cute room! I will be taking one room at a time and giving them all a face lift!! We purchased paint from H-I-S Coatings on Reno. They sell recycled paint in 4 different colors. This one is a beige, I got an olive green color for the living area! eeek!!! I am so excited to get this place looking funtastic!! By the way, they sell the paint in 5 gallon buckets for $35! yep, that's right $35 for a 5 gallon bucket!!! (another happy face here!) If you know me, you know I LoVe a bargain!!
