We had some super sweet friends invite us to the Crystal Bridge Myriad Botanical Gardens this week!!
Hannah's hair grew so big in here! lol
Look at the leaves in the background of this photo! Wow!! It is amazingly gorgeous downtown right now!
The kids had a blast in the park!
We're thankful for good christian friends! "That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me." Romans 1:12
Hope you are all having an awesome Fall!!
Happy Friday Ya"ll! It's hard to believe that next Friday we will have already gobbled up all the turkey! Exciting times! I found a few things recently, I though these might be something good to share with you guys. Here they are...
These are not bad quality! Woot Woot!! We love bright colored school workbooks! I print out most of the younger ones schoolwork. Therefor they have a lot of black and white. These are Dollar Tree, yep, that's right! 64 pages of colorful math for $1. Now that's something exciting to find!!
They got them in phonics too!! Another great find!!
This however, is a super great find! Dollar tree has magic erasers! I LOVE these things!! Walmart sells these for $2.67. Guess what? They're $1 at Dollar Tree!! Can we get another WOOT WOOT!! Do they work, well, take a look at this....
I went over the school desk real quick with a wet one. Then what was left the dollar tree Quick Eraser took care of!
These things are my best friend!! And for a buck, I think I like them even more!!
sWe have a clean school desk!! That make me a happy school teacher/mom and we have a happy 2nd grader as well!! That's all for this Friday! Hope you all have a super fun weekend!
I have another set of Children's Bible Studies finished! These are just like the last ones, 20 devotionals. This gives just about 1 devotion per weekday, for one month. These devotions are on "Teaching Kids To Have A Giving Heart" You can download the devotions here: Children's Devotions "Giving"
These have been proofed only one quick time. If you see there is an error, please send me a message so I can correct it! Thanks a bunch!!
The girls and I went to wash our hands before we ate. When we came out of the ladies room our guys were outside creeping in at us through the glass! What would we do without these silly guys of ours?!?
... and what kid would not love an orange creme soda?!
Just waiting on our food!
One of the best parts of going to Pop's! The lit up soda pop bottle outside!
Two Sunday's ago was potluck Sunday. We had our evening service early. After a bit of a rest, even though some of us were not feeling our best we thought it might be good to get out for some family time. We headed off on the back roads to Pops. We've only been to Pops as a family twice. We enjoy going out there. We drove a little down Rt 66 and ran into a little pumpkin patch farm sign. We followed the signs down the country roads and sure enough we found a place to have some good family time! The owners were super nice and even let us in on a huge discount because they were out of pumpkins, we had gotten there so late in the evening and it was there very last day and our very first time to visit their farm. We had such a good time, we plan to go back earlier in the fall next year. Thank you, Parkhurst Pumpkin Patch, for providing such a fun evening for us!
The photo above is our family on a hay ride!
We saw a buck on the ride!
The kids loved all the animals! There were all kinds of farm animals around to love on!
Most of us did not make it very far into the corn maze. Our already stuffy noses could not handle the smell of it. Allergy Alert!!!
They had pretty fall decor all around!
Lots of swings and things for the kiddos to enjoy!
Hay bales to play on!
And a rope swing!! My kids loved the rope swing. I thought we were never going to get them to leave because of it!
We love fall! This is a great place to go for good family fall fun!!
A few weeks ago the hubs and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary!! love my guy to the moon and back!
Yes, we take our own photos! Our kids help out sometimes, they are going to be great photographers when they grow up!!
We're still traveling through the alphabet in our kindergarten with miss Felicity. She's learning well. We've had some sickness and a lot of other stuff slow us down a few days but all in all we are moving along!
Museum starts with 'M', so that's just where we went!
The letter 'L' brought us to the library! We love finding new books!
We went to Kyra's homecoming for the letter 'K'! She was a homecoming princess!
The letter "J" brought us to eat at Jack in the Box.
Teaching our children things of the Bible is a great responsibility. I have put together 1 month of daily (weekdays only) devotions for kids, on the subject of Faithfulness. These lessons teach what faith is, and also about several faithful followers found in God's Holy Word (the KJV)! Feel free to use these short devotions in your home, church classes or however you may choose. I am putting together another set of devotions on "Giving". They will be posted in the next few weeks! God Bless and Happy Teaching!!

I'm not real sure who allowed this, but it happened. My first born, my little baby boy, Asa Benjamin.... turned 13! How can it be?!?
yes, we fit all 13 candles on 1 cupcake... and no, there was no icing left on the cupcake when we pulled all the candles off.
Happy Birthday Asa! My young man!! I love you CRAZY!!
Once again, we found a new trail at the refuge!
The weather was perfect, the trail was not to hard and we had been told there was a waterfall at the end!
Sam's brother Enoch went on this camping trip with us.
Not far off the trail sat this guy!
Sure enough, there was a small waterfall! It was a very pretty hike!
This was kinda funny, maybe I should say corny. Those who know Sams brothers, well maybe thats all I should say... haha Enoch had told the kids he saw a lake on the way up the trail. On the way back down we went off the path to go see the lake. We came upon this spot in a rock and he was telling them about this lake he had discovered. Thus, the silly photo below came about!
This below is the real lake he had seen. So beautiful!
We love our 10 man tent. We had some rain showers during our stay, which caused us to spend some time playing boardgames and such inside!
Going camping means a campfire!
... and lots of bike riding!
We did a little school work while we were on the trip as well!
That's all for now, maybe the weather will be nice for Thanksgiving and we'll join up with my family back out here at the end of November! Fun times!
I had the opportunity to photograph a Naturalization Ceremony. This was truly an inspiring event!
48 people from 24 different countries received citizenship of the USA! It was exciting to see how emotional some of these people were. We live in a great country! Things may seem crazy sometimes, but all in all our country is amazing! I've traveled much. Have spent time in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Canada and numerous airports in other counties, including Japan, and Russia. Needless to say, I am proud to be an American and I thank God for the freedoms we have!
It's not often that I upload the photos from my phone. This pretty much wraps up the end of our summer and beginning of fall...
We've been eating lots of super healthy smoothies! The kids have no idea what all they're eating!! (They wouldn't eat it if I told them! hehe)
We're trying to eat more healthy these days. I have learned of a new super food, "lentils". We are eating them in all sorts of yummy dishes! We also traded the coffee out for herbal teas. I do sneak it back out on the weekend, it's my splurge!
I have been enjoying my personal Bible studies. Quiet mornings on the back porch are always a great start to my day!
We had a week where everyone was just feeling bla, slight head cold caught up with us. We canceled school, grabbed our books and blankets and headed to the park for some good ol' fresh air!
We bought a 10 man tent and went camping with my mom, dad and siblings over the Labor day weekend. We love the tent!! We love getting to spend time with family as well!!
...and we Love the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge!
We find fun ways to get out and study our Bible verses for Bible Club!
Been taking this handsome boy of mine to choir every Monday! We are part of the Oklahoma City Homeschool Choir this year!
We had a yard sale, got rid a some of our junk and met some interesting people!
Pretty weather means fun times with our pets outdoors!
A walk to the park with cousins, we do not see these cuties often enough! These little guys live in Texas. They came up to celebrate Felicity's 5th birthday!
Lots of school work! New stuff this year, like dabbing our answers!!
We did some updating of poster boards, bulletin boards, etc at church!!
~a little bit of fall fun around the house~
~I love this cozy time of year!! I do believe Autumn is my most favorite season of all! From our patch to your patch we wish you a very blessed season! Happy Fall Ya'll!!
I'm running a bit behind on posting our trip through the alphabet. Trying to get caught up today!!! Here is where f, g, h and I took us!!
Felicity was not much into taking her weekly photo, as you can tell.
The letter 'I' took us out for 'Ice cream'!! ... with cousins!!
We stayed 'Home' for the letter 'H' and played with our Horse!
The letter 'G' took us to Golden Corral. Not my favorite place to go, but it sure was when I was a kid. Our kiddo's beg to go here all the time. We try not to eat out much, but occasionally we give in!
The letter 'F' was most exciting! It took us to get a 'Fish'!!
