Summer is here and man has it been a crazy one thus far! All good though! These kids! They mean the world to me! Can you believe how grown they are?! Oh goodness, someone slow them down! My baby turns 5 this summer and my young man meets 13 in the fall! How can it be?! xoxoxo I know it sounds crazy, but I truly love all these kiddos! Our neighborhood is loaded up with this age! Asa has friends all over the place! They probably think I'm mean, I do expect them to be good. I tell them all the time that they are going to be a good influence or a bad influence on each other, to choose what's right! haha We had an end of school party for the neighborhood, tons of fun and food and friends! We have Bible Club every 2nd Saturday! This is a great time for the kids to learn about the things of the BIBLE! Loads of fun! Our theme in June was BELIEVE IT OR NOT! We played a fun game and learned some crazy BIBLE truths during it! Snack and craft time! We made lava lamps! These are really cool! Just need four ingredients and some glass jars. We found the easiest way to clean the glue and paper off of our jars was a scrub sponge and WD-40. Then fill your jar about 3/4 with vege oil, add a few drops of food color to water, fill the rest of your jar up with the water/food color mixture(do not shake jar once you add the water mixture), drop in an alka-seltzer tablet and watch the fun begin! We had several kids learn their memory verses this month!!! These verses are not short easy ones, we make it a challenge! I try to make learning the verses fun. We spend time together practicing them over and over. We took a trip to Braums for ice cream to practice on them the week of Bible Club! We had a blast again this year at Bible Camp! The kids are always ready to go back the next year as soon as we are leaving! This is how I survived camp!! Fill the cooler full and you'll make it! :) The kids sang, "This is the Day" in a small wedding when we got back from camp! What a blessing! I know this was a reeeaaally long post! So sorry, just needed to get caught up! Hope you are all having a relaxing funtastic summer! See ya again soon! :)
