We have been blessed to be staying in a mission house that has a fenced playground for the kids.    Asa, for several days now, has been showing off on the monkey bars.  After watching him act like a monkey day after day, Hannah decided to give it a try.  Much to her surprise she could do it!  She made it all the way across and that was worthy of a photo!  Of course, Asa, seeing the attention she got had to show us that he could go across with his feet.

Kylie has been focusing on more serious things like; giving daddy kisses and going potty in the big girl potty!  Those kisses are mine Kylie Joy! She is on day five of potty training and is doing quite well.  Kylie, being the third child has so much to try   to keep up with.  She has been wanting to go potty in the big girl potty for quiet some time now, I have just not been ready for it.  She sees the other kids go and thinks she should be doing the same.  She is so funny, if she hears Hannah say, "I have to go potty", she will run to the toilet and get on it before Hannah.  Of course, this leaves Hannah standing outside the restroom bawling her eyes out!  Kylie really has no interest in watching movies, but at night we let the older kids watch a movie before they go to sleep.  The other night Asa was in bed and Kylie just had to join him, she was quiet too long, so I went to check on her and she had fallen asleep in there, with her big girl panties on!

She wants to be big just like them.  When Asa and Hannah are doing their school work Kylie is sitting right there coloring and writing too.  I try to get her to go play, but she insist on staying at the school table and doing something, no matter how long it takes the others to finish!   I love how she holds her pencil so correctly, I think she does a better job of holding it than Hannah does.  I found this little poem the other day and it reminded me of Kylie, not necessarily wanting to be like me, but how she watches our whole family and wants to be like each of us!

I just had to share this!  Asa is not real proud of it and when he saw me taking a pic of it he got really mad.  Asa does not like me to put marks on his paper.  He always wants to make a 100.  His math work book has a little quiz like this at least three or four times a week.  He usually gets a 100.  However, he has made the mistake of forgetting to put his 1 in front of the four when adding 7+7 two other times this week.  I had him look it over and see if he saw a mistake before I marked it wrong, and he corrected it both times.  Well, I was not so nice this time, when he saw that he did not make a 100 he got so mad.  "I hate 96" he said firmly,  "I want 100, I hate 96!"  I think he will remember his 1 from now on, what do you think!?! lol
Oh, and the reason his paper says "mom" is because Hannah brought her paper to me and it had two m's on it.  "I wrote your name mom!" she said excitedly.  Asa of course had to show her the correct way of writing my name... it's 'mom'!  And all this time, thirty three whole years and I have been spelling my name 'Kiy', no one has ever told me I was spelling it with the wrong three letters!  hehe
