Hello! It has been awhile! I am still here! haha Just been a crazy past month, I will tell a little about it through the photos on my phone! Well, Spring came!!! The kids and I planted lots of flowers, and a few veges and things! It was so exciting!!! We love being outside and we love digging in the dirt! That's just the way we are!!! :) I then decided I would quit putting off painting the kitchen cabinets! My sister-in-law came over and we took all the cabinet doors off, got everything sanded! Then picked out a Smoke Mountain gray paint that I am so in love with!!! I wish I had a before photo! It's looking so amazing!! I don't have a photo for it, but in the middle of our kitchen reformation, we had plumbing issues that led to us having to dig up most of what we planted in our garden and a portion of the yard as well. :( ...and the cabinets got put on hold! (another sad face here) The girls playing dress up, as we dig up the yard! Then Sam headed to Indonesia! (another sad face) We missed him badly! Kylie sent a note with him so he would remember her! Technology these days is so amazing! We found an app on our phone that allowed us to share photos, videos and messages, oh, and even make calls with the click of a button! These are a few of the photos he sent us while he was there! The bottom photo is right out in front of the house we lived in when we were there. The tall skyscraper in the background was not there before! Sam left on Monday and on Wednesday we spent much time in the tornado shelter! The kids and I had plans to leave on Thursday to spend some time down south with my parents. As soon as the debris was removed off of the hwy and it reopend, we headed out their direction, trying to beat the next storm system on it's way toward us. ~Road Trip~ We beat the storm and got to spend some time in the storm shelter down there later that evening. The crazy weather just follows us! My parents area has been in a stage 5 drought. It has been a very serious concern for all who live down there. The photo above was taken on Saturday just before Mother's Day. Sam took this photo below awhile back. This is the exact same bridge, it is now flowing with abundance! Our God does answer prayer! We celebrated Mother's Day with my mom and then headed home the following Monday morning! We brought home two new additions to our family! Below is one of them! (I will post a really cute video on the Just for Fun tab!) When we got home we had radishes and onions waiting in the garden for us! ~garden fresh~ ~Omelets with fresh green onions! Can't beat it!! Sam sent this photo below! So pretty! He sent a video as well, there was a field full of these beauties, they were larger than his hand! :) By Wednesday that week I was down for the count! I had caught a terrible cold of some sort and spent a few days in bed. Asa was the man in charge and I am very pleased with how he handled his little sisters. The weekend came and so did Poppy(my dad)! He helped so much with the kids and helped ease our fears of the strange visitor we had on our porch that evening! Sam finally headed home! And after 48hours of traveling he arrived around midnight and we were so excited to meet him at the airport! I'm really super excited about this below! I drafted a pattern for Miss Felicity some culottes! I need to make a few adjustments to the pattern but all in all I am very pleased! She can now ride her little trike without her skirt getting caught under the wheels!! Can't wait to make a few more! Modeling her new culottes!! last photo of them... I promise! :) Then the flooding begin... the photo below is our backyard. It got higher than this. The bikes are up on our porch and the water got very close to the top of the step that goes into the kitchen! We were beginning to get worried! We've been getting rain every day! We had a hail storm yesterday! We are so glad the drought is over, now we are just ready for summer to get here and dry out our yard so we can go out and play without getting all muddy! They love their dress-ups! We hope you are all having a fun-tastic spring!
