~long time, no see~

Wow! It has been an incredible long time since I have been on my blog! I think about it all the time, I miss it, but, I have been so very busy these past weeks!  It's been a good busy though! God works things out and makes things you long for, you thought never possible, come to pass! God is good all the time!
I don't have a lot of photos this post.  I do have a few for my photo challenge that I have been participating in. I have rarely had my camera out this summer, but that is okay! We are enjoying life and enjoying each other and sometimes it is just good to be in the setting, enjoying, rather than stepping out and taking  photos and not really participating in all that is happening!

I am going to start from last week and go backwards, if that makes any since.

Week 30 of the 'Thankful' photo project. 'Rain', I know I have used this in the past, but I must say, the over 3 inches of rain we got in about 24hrs early last week was much needed and something to be very thankful for. And, if the forecast is correct, we have more this next week headed our way! Thank you Jesus for the Rain!  Isn't my backyard lovely?!

Week 29, 'Cool July Temps'. I have never in my life experienced such a mild July.  It has been simply wonderful! We have had record High Lows. In other words the high temperature for the day was the lowest ever recorded.  Yes, it actually only got up to 68 degrees one day this past month. We enjoyed every minute of it! Lots of outside time, doors and windows open, sitting on the porch and watching the birds, squirrels and bunnies out in our yard!

Week 28, 'Homeschooling'.  We started back to school!  I am so thankful I have the opportunity to teach my children.  I was recently pretty much told that upper elementary math was just so hard now days that I am not capable of teaching it. Really?  It blows my mind the things people come up with just because what you decide is right for your family isn't what is right for theirs, and therefor, they think it their place to jump on you like you are doing something wrong.  We sacrifice to homeschool our kids, believe me, it would be much easier to send them off to let someone else teach them and I would have from around 7:45am -3:00pm to myself. I have chosen the other route, and therefor, with all my might I will teach my kids and they will learn as much as the others.  I do not judge those who don't, so please do not judge us who do! (sorry for getting off on my soapbox today)

Week 27, 'Thankful for all things'. I know that sounds odd for this photo project, but during this week I had so much to be thankful for, I could not pin point one thing!  Many good changes in our family's lives and God providing in His marvelous ways!  For week 27 I am just thankful!

Week 26, 'Bike Rides in the Country with My Family'. Before we headed out of Kansas we rode our bikes together so much. Riding a bike can be so relaxing and enjoyable if you are with the ones you love!  I put so many miles on my bike during this week! Some alone and some with the family!
