This past weekend, and so far this week, has been fun for Asa, Hannah and Kylie.  Friday we went to Grandfield to sign the contract on the house, get our taxes taken care of, get our mail, and a few other things.  Of course, the kids got to spend time with their meme and poppy.  Then on saturday they went to their cousin Bryson's birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese's.  Sunday, back in OKC, we got a visit from a furry friend.  My kids are crazy about animals and want a pet soooo bad!  This cat wanted in really, really bad.  I let the kids go out on the porch and pet him Every time the door was opened he tried to sneak inside.  The kids enjoyed playing with him! Sunday night as I lay awake in bed listening to the sound of the wind howling and the snow blowing around outside I could hear the poor little thing crying and crying.  It was sad, he had to be so cold.  He looks like he would belong to someone, he seems to fat to be a stray.

When they woke up on Monday morning they were so excited to see all the snow outside.  We do not have the proper clothing with us right now to go out and play in it, but it was still fun to see it and talk about it.  I got a small bowl full and brought it inside.  Kylie Joy was so small last winter I doubt she remembered what it was.

She played in it for awhile then, of course, straight to her mouth it went.  She just had to taste it.  I wondered if she was confused at how all that ice got out in the yard.  (Kezia, we did clean up our mess!!hehe) (Oh yeah, I took this pic for Naarrah!  Tell her that her little house looked really pretty covered in the snow!)

Today when the kids woke up, we greeted them with a Happy Valentines Day!  I had told them yesterday that we would do a valentine craft today during school time.  Sam decided to take us all out for breakfast to start our day.  We had some milk in the fridge but not much else for breakfast so we were all excited about this.  We don't go out for breakfast often.  Well, we got all dressed up and got in the car and decided to go to Crackle Barrel. We were about finished up with our meal when an elderly man walked up to our table and put a Crackle Barrel sack down beside Sam.  He said that he and his wife had enjoyed watching us and that our kids brought back good memories.  They had eight children and their youngest, I think they said, was 41.  In the sack was a little sticker book for each of them.  I told the kids when we got in the car that if they had been acting naughty the couple would not have enjoyed watching them and would not have given them a gift.  It goes to show that wherever you are, there is always someone watching, whether you realize it or not.

On the way home we stopped at Wal-mart, got some construction paper, a small bottle of red paint and a paint brush.  Of course, we had to get a box of chocolates to share, it is Valentine's Day you know.  Who can go through this holiday without a box of chocolates!?!  We then headed home to do our craft.  It's always fun for kids to put paint on their hands, so that is just what we did!  We made our craft and ate chocolates, then we had to have a bath, at least Kylie did, and if Kylie is taking a bath Hannah thinks she needs one too!  Then my snotty nose little girl had to have her pappy so she could take her nap!

Yes, she is sound to sleep, with a little smile on her sweet little  face!  ~Happy Times~
