God blessed us with a trip to Washington D.C. last week!  We dropped our kids off at my mom and dads on Monday and we flew out Tuesday morning.  This October, Sam and I will have been married for 13 years, this was our first time to take off somewhere and leave the kiddos behind.  We missed them, but we had a great time together!  The first two days of the trip we were with David Barton, on a Wall Builders Tour of the Capitol and meeting with several Senators who brought much encouragement to us!  We found so much of our history included God and so much of what you see in D.C. includes God.  All over D.C. you will find quotes and sayings from our forefathers that reflect their faith in God!  We traveled only by way of the Metro(which is an experience in itself if you are from the state of Oklahoma) and by foot.  I have been telling everyone I walked 178 miles or so last week!  Sam took a lot more photos on his phone, I did not carry my camera the first few days as I did not want to miss out on the tour.  We learned a lot and are thrilled with the blessings God has graciously given us! What a mighty God we serve!
