We did not go anywhere this week for the letter 'E'. It came to us!! the ECLIPSE!!!
We got to see the ECLIPSE several different ways. First we made the cereal box method, you look at the reflection inside on the bottom of the box, then we made the shoe box method with a hole in the middle and it reflected on the ground or as seen above on Asa's hand. Both were fun! Then a kind neighbor saw us outside while passing our house, she hurried home and got their welders helmet and we got to view it from that as well. It was a fun experience for us all! What a great week for the letter 'E' !!!
My little kindergartner is having a great time learning her letters! It's hard to believe we already have 5 weeks of school behind us!! HomeSchool is so Cool!!
Check back with us in a week or so to see where the letter 'F' takes us!!!
Studying a lot about others seeing God's Love through us, Pride, and Character! Planning on sharing some good stuff on here soon! Hope your having a funtastic week!! See ya tomorrow for Friday Finds!!!
This week the letter "D" brought us to the Donut store!! Felicity had her birthday party on Saturday, her big day to turn 5 is Tuesday but we celebrated on Saturday. She wanted a Donut Party so a Donut Party we had!! She also wanted cousin Corban and Meme to be at her party!
Meme and Felicity have birthdays just one day apart so Meme had to have candles on her donut too! We love our Meme!!
Okay, so I just have to share this with you today!! A week or so ago I was thumbing through Pinterest and saw the coolest thing for the kids to try! Sure enough it works and is soooo much FUN!! So here it is...
Yes!!! Hula Hoop Bubbles!! BIG, BIG bubbles!!
These really were big bubbles! So many giggles and so much excitement!!
We already had the kiddie pool, it is what we had next to our swimming pool to clean our feet off before getting in. We went to the dollar tree and got a hula hoop and 5 jugs of bubbles. After pouring the bubbles into the pool we decided we needed more so I took two bottles inside and filled with water and a good long squeeze of dawn.
At first the bubbles were breaking from the hoop right away. Then the kids realized if they got their hands totally covered in bubbles, got a hold of the hula hoop, lift it up and try to not move the position of their hands at all, the bubbles would grow quiet large with them blowing into it just like blowing bubbles from a wand.
Asa then realized, with his hands saturated in bubbles, he could form a ring with his fingers and blow bubbles!
These were big bubbles as well!
He was impressed that the bubbles were so strong that he could separate them into two bubbles then join it back together as one.
My little Muffin couldn't figure out how to get a bubble from her finger, but she had a lot of fun playing with the suds! We had so much fun with this, just thought I'd share it with you all! We can't wait to get our school work done today so we can play with the bubbles again!! Hope you are having a Blessed Week!
We now have A, B and C down! Look where we found the letter 'C' !!!
Chick-fil-A begins with 'C' !!!
It must be awesome to be a kid and wake up to the smell of Banana Nut Muffins and Hot Cocoa! We are sure looking forward to the arrival of Autumn!
...and my little muffin eating her muffin and enjoying her hot cocoa before she begins her school day!
Just another day at the school desk! Maybe I should say school table!
We have great plans for the letter "D" next week!!! Check back with us in a week or so to find out where we go!!! Until then, Smile and know God LoVes YOU!!! :)
Well, I have from time to time done Friday Finds on this website. I had a different page for it. I have decided when I find something during the week that is worth sharing I will try on put it on here on Friday! So here we go... OH!!! and by the way... HAPPY FRIDAY!!! Today I am going to share some fall items I found at the Dollar Tree! These are awesome finds and if you are anything like me you are anxiously anticipating the arrival of Autumn!!! ... so here is what I found...
I am not always a fan of Dollar Tree flowers, but these are pretty decent looking, a good variety of fall colors and even a few burlap-y ones!
Felicity helped me pick a few things out and we fell in love with these owls that have dangling feet! They will be perfect on the bookshelf!
They also have these pumpkins in several fall colors, and a variety of other pretty pumpkins about this same size!
I am not a huge fan of bobble heads but Miss Felicity loved these little guys so I let her get them!
When decorating for Autumn you have to have scarecrows so we picked up a few of these as well!!
More scarecrows.. these have dangling feet!
Another little owl and and pretty little pumpkin! They had so much more but we probably have plenty of Autumn goodness to share now!! The best part of all of this goodness is they are only $1 each! Can't beat that at a yard sale!!!
One last Friday Find to share with you today!! I picked up this awesome chair at our local thrift a little while ago. I paid a whopping $4 for it. It had UGLY all over it, but a can of spray paint and a little fabric from my stash transformed it into an awesome back porch resting spot... and a photography prop as well!!! That's all for this Friday, wish you all a blessed weekend! See ya next time!
As I am watching Hannah grow into a little lady, I long to have her sweetness, kindness, love and compassion. I pray God keep a hedge about her and let nothing change her sweetness. I pray He draw her close and use her kindness to lead others to Him. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5:16
Party Time! Always have to get that sibling photo before we get started with the gifts! They'll do anything for gifts, right?!
Happy Birthday Sweet Girl! I LoVe you to the moon and back!!
Well, we finished our second week of kindergarten and we found a lot of B's along the way! Guess where the letter B took us this week?!?
Bass Pro Shop of course!
Free Aquarium! Right?!?
She's doing great thus far! Check back in a week to see where the letter C takes us!!! Hope you all have a lovely week!
We started back to school this week! Which means we have a kindergartner in our school room this year! How can it be that my baby is starting school?!?
I spent all last week getting all their work together for the first several months! It's getting exciting around here, I'm not sure why it's so exciting to me, but maybe it's because once school starts, fall follows! I am so ready for fall!!
We are trying to make our homeschool more fun this year, and learning at the same time. This year we have decided to try and come up with an outing that starts with the letter of the week. For instance 'P' for Park and 'L' for Library. I had a hard time finding something for 'A' at first, but with help from family and friends we ended up at Andy Alligator's fun park and Atwood's, both in Norman. We had a fun time and Lis found some A's there! Can't wait to see how the year goes!
The girls had so much fun bowling on the tiny bowling alley! (Asa and Sam snuck upstairs for some Laser Tag)
Our bunny was out of food and Sam needed some new work pants, therefore, Atwood's was a great 'A' place to visit! Well, 1 down and 25 more letters to go, can't wait to see where the alphabet takes us!!! Hope you all have a happy weekend!
When they're cuter than cute they sure make my job so easy! This sweet baby was more than perfect for her photo shoot! Happy three months old sweet baby girl!
Sam's siblings and their families all gathered at Lake Eufaula for some family time. We had lots of fun! I barely took any photos, but here are the few I did get!
The girls love playing with their cousins!
Our little lake cabin!
The kids loved the lake! And hey! Check out their modest swimsuits!! I had the striped swimsuit fabric in my stash, had picked it up from a thrift store some time ago and was worried about being able to sew with it. Much to my surprise, it was super easy to sew with! I made Hannah and Kylie's skirts in about 20 mins. We bought some spandex type shorts to go under the skirt, and they already had swim shirts! I've seen suits like this on Facebook ads for around $60. These cost me around $10 each, including the spandex shorts!! We love bargains around here ... and modesty!!!
Lake Eufaula 2017
We'll, this is not a true before pic. I forgot to take the photo and had already taken things off the wall and removed the retro curtains before I realized I hadn't taken it. His bed was also up on a frame, we took that out so it would be easier to paint and such. Asa has decided he likes it on the floor for now, so we put Felicity's bed on his frame for now.
He absolutely loves the difference some paint, calmer curtains and decor has made his room! This color is a win all around!! If you did not see my previous post about my room, this is recycled paint, get a 5 gallon bucket from H-I-S Coatings for $35! Great deal and a great color!!!
It has been awhile since posting random goodness from my phone. My I Phone is like a dinosaur and the photo quality is something terrible. But hey, who carries a big 'ol camera with them all the time, and, you just have to take photos of everything you do, right?
~the hubs and I like to sneak away for a little quiet time every great once in awhile. All About is one of our favorite quiet spots! Downtown OKC!
~us right after getting my new specs!
~late one evening the girls and I felt like getting out and doing a little something before going to bed. Our guys did not want to get out so we headed off by ourselves. This is where we ended up. The girls were not so sure about getting on this big ferris wheel but they sure had fun running around and watching it.
~we'll go back as a whole family sometime and I just bet daddy can talk them into getting on!
~feeding the body and soul! Quiet Morning Time!
~these girls stick together like glue, don't mind their photos taken. Asa on the other hand runs from my camera!
~made them some much needed culottes.
~spent some time with Meme and Poppy. Xena got to celebrate some 4th of July time with us!
~Maggie moo did too!
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness;
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand.
Hope you're having a splendid summer! :)
